The syllabus for both exams are different. Even though the difference is marginal, but it's still there. The Syllabus for the mains of both, the SBI PO and RBI Grade B exams, is the same. It's the prelims where they differ.RBI Grade B exam is considered to be a tough exam as it is highly competitive and attracts a large number of candidates every year. The exam is designed to test the candidate's knowledge and understanding of various topics related to economics, banking, and finance.

The hard copy of RBI Grade B scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to download it online only. To download the scorecard, candidates need to enter the required credentials. RBI Grade B scorecard carries the section-wise and overall marks obtained in the exam.

Candidates joining to the post of RBI Grade B Officer are promoted to Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, Chief General Manager, Executive Director and Deputy Governor. They are on probation for two years. During probation, candidates are imparted training related to the various bank processes.

RBI Grade B Phase 1 result was announced on September 20, 2024 by RBI. The result was made available in PDF form and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The scorecard and cut off marks are released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging with the required credentials. Candidates qualifying the Phase 1 exam are called for Phase 2.

RBI Grade B Phase 1 admit card 2024 was released on August 29, 2024. The admit card was released for all the registered candidates. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter details such as the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card carries information related to the exam. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 exam is conducted in computer based mode. Paper I and III comprise both objective and descriptive type questions, while Paper II is completely a descriptive test. The duration of Paper I and III is 120 minutes (30 minutes for the objective test and 90 minutes for the descriptive test) while Paper-II is held for 90 minutes. The total marks allotted to the paper are 300. Candidates opting to type the answers in Hindi may do so with the help of either Inscript or Remington (GAIL) keyboards layout. Candidates need to type the answers using keyboard.
