Rishikesh

The new AIIMS colleges, namely, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Nagpur and AIIMS Delhi were established to provide good medical education and healthcare services in various places across the country. Below are some of the differences among the colleges mentioned:

1. Year of Establishment: Among these colleges, AIIMS Delhi is the oldest, established in 1956. AIIMS Rishikesh was established in 2012 and AIIMS Nagpur in 2018.
2. Location: AIIMS Delhi is located in the capital city of India (New Delhi) while AIIMS Rishikesh is in Uttarakhand and AIIMS Nagpur is in Maharashtra.
3. Size of Campus: From these colleges, AIIMS Delhi has a relatively large campus. AIIMS Delhi is on 165 acres of land whereas, AIIMS Rishikesh has 200 acres land and AIIMS Nagpur 150 acres.
4. Courses Offered: All three colleges offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical sciences, such as MBBS MD MS M.Ch. DM and PhD. Yet, the number of seats and courses offered vary from college to college.
5. Facilities Provided: AIIMS Delhi has very attractive and modest facilities including a hospital, research facilities and educational facilities. As the newest of the three colleges, AIIMS Rishikesh and AIIMS Nagpur are yet to develop the same level of facilities as AIIMS Delhi has.
