Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) was established in1983 whereas Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) was established in 1969. Both the colleges are public institution and fall in Maharashtra state with PDKV offering more than 70 courses including the traditional courses plus certificate courses and SGBAU offering 50 plus courses. SGBAU Amravati provides certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and PhD level programs in fields such as science, engineering, management, commerce, education, arts, law and lifelong learning. The four-year Full Time BE/BTech programme at SGBAU is offered. Chemical Technology specialisations (Food Technology, Pulp & Paper Technology, Oil & Paint Technology, Petrochemical Technology) offer it. Eligible applicants must have a valid JEE Main exam score in order to be admitted to this course. The eligibility creiteria to get admission in the B.Tech programme at SGBAU is Class 12 with minimum 45%. The accepting exams for admission in the course are JEE Main, MHT CET, CBSE 12th, Maharashtra HSC, ICAR AIEEA.
