Your admission probabilities for the CSE branch at SRC-SASTRA University, Kumbakonam are low due to your position of 707 in Stream 1 and 105 in Stream 2. Students aiming to study CSE through Stream 1 must secure a rank within 200-300 whereas Stream 2 candidates need to achieve scores between 50-100. The precise cutoff points fluctuate based on multiple factors that influence the number of student participants and the available number of seats in the participating institutions. Other branches including IT, EEE and Mechanical Engineering have admission slots open with annual fees between INR 2.5 Lacs and INR 3.5 lakhs.

With 58 marks in JEE Mains and 964 (96.4%) in IPE, your combined score for SASTRA University's Stream 1 would be around 86.8. CSE may be tough to get with this score, but you have a better chance in other branches. Also, apply through both Stream 1 (JEE + IPE) and Stream 2 (IPE only) to maximize your chances. Keep checking SASTRA's official site for updates.

You have a good chance of getting CSE based on 724 rank in SRC Sastra stream 2.
How Admissions Work at SASTRA:
Stream 1: 70% of seats are given based on JEE Main + 12th marks.
Stream 2: 30% of seats are given only based on 12th marks.
CSE Cutoff Trends (Stream 2):
In 2022, the CSE cutoff was around 1,080 rank.
Your rank (724) is much better than 1,080, so your chances are high.

To become a part of SASTRA University, the eligibility for B.Tech courses is mostly depending on your IPE (Intermediate Public Exam) marks and JEE score. SASTRA University calculates a merit score depending on the marks gained in both IPE and JEE exams.

With 48% in JEE Mains and 924/1000 marks in your intermediate exam, it is hard to get admitted into SASTRA University as the minimum qualifying percentage in the entrance exam (12th class) is mostly around 60% and SASTRA has both JEE Mains mark and 12th class mark in consideration for admission, while it gives priority to the marks in 12th class.
