The first session is mostly for the students who have applied in centres away from Bengaluru, though interview is the process is conducted in the city also.
The second session is only in Bangalore.
I guess it's done to reduce the number of students the panelists have to interview in a single go. The applicants are already too high, and thousands of people being tested and interviewed at a single time in few days would be too hectic.

Hi,
You need to score 550 or above in MAT. Your UG scores are well enough, as the cut-off is 50%. So, no need to worry about that only focus on MAT.

Yes, Christ accepts MAT scores for admission to their PG programs. But it's always better to take other options into consideration. You can also take MAT May 2019 exam for consideration for getting admission into Christ University.

I feel you should look at your passion and interest. You should go for the specialization you want to study, because if you will base your decision on packages and institutes, then in long run, you would lose your interest, as it is not the money that gives you the satisfaction. It is the achievement that makes you feel proud of yourself. Your passion would take you a long way to the top.

Yes, there is a provision of lateral entry. You can try for it but remember you also need to clear the cutoff or eligibility criteria as desired by the college.
