Yes you can apply through general category, but the main thing is that the DU cut-off percentage is very high for general category as compare to OBC. In addition to that I also SEE some colleges closed their admission after first or second list for general category. But that is not the case with OBC. So in short chances of getting admission is very high if you choose OBC category in comparison to general category.

PG Diploma in Dietetics is a 1.5 years course (Including 6 month internship) with total intake of 04 only. The admission in course will be done through the Entrance test of Special Dietetics paper. The eligibility criteria is B.Sc. In Home Science or B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics. So in my opinion Food Science and QC is a part of home Science so you can be eligible for the asked course.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for PG Diploma dietetics. The eligibility criteria of SNDT Women University is given below for reference please. Eligibility criteria : Minimum percentage is 45% or B grade for students who have the following degrees: B.Sc. Foods and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc. Public Health and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Quality Control, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Technology.
