ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The general eligibility criteria is 10+2 passed from a recognised board with PCM subjects or passed valid (and relevant) 3-years long Diploma course from a recognised institute.
But it has been noticed that eligibility criteria may vary from one institute to another. But reputed institutes stick to the criteria that has been mentioned above.
ADMISSION PROCESS
Reputed institutes rely on the merit-based admission process. Marks scored by students in 10+2 board exam and/or relevant entrance test is taken into consideration. Based on the marks scores, a merit list is formed.

The application is to check the fragrance compound in the product. Besides having a solid knowledge of analytical chemistry, those who work in the application department should study the product to understand its performance, constancy and legal compliances in terms of environmental pollutants and toxicity. Selection of the graduate courses ( BE / B.Tech ) is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. Entrance to the IIT's is through JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams. Apart from the IIT's, some other famous institutes also recognize JEE scores for selection.
Currently, students do not have much choice when it comes to genetic engineering colleges. Please use the link provided below for a list of colleges which offer genetic engineering courses in India.
