SEED Preparation

Candidates who are included in SEED waiting list will be considered for admission only if there are any vacancies. The seat allotment for waiting list candidates will be conducted if any vacant seats remain.

The allotment of seats in this case will be based on SEED merit ranks.

To upload portfolio for SEED PRPI :

• Click good quality pictures of these and compile them in a Power Point Presentation of maximum of 15 slides.
• Convert this into a PDF of up to 5 Mb.
• Take pictures that are different from others. Do not copy others.

Yes, SEED M.Des 2027 application forms will be released in September. The applications are available only for the B.Des programme by Symbiosis Institute of Design. 

The last date to register for SEED B.Des will be in December. The registration forms will be made available online.

Yes, SEED conducts a mock test for B.Des Admission 2026. Mock test was conducted on January 07, 2026. SEED exams were conducted on January 11, 2026. 

SEED 2027 Application will be out for the B.Des Programme in the first week of August. 

The Studio Test and Personal Interaction (STPI) for SEED M.Des 2025 will be conducted from May 9th, 2025 (Friday) to May 11th, 2025 (Sunday). During this period, shortlisted candidates will be assessed through a series of tasks and personal interactions to evaluate their design skills, creativity, and suitability for the M.Des program.

The shortlisting for the Studio Test and Personal Interaction (STPI) for M.Des admissions through SEED 2025 will be declared on May 6th, 2025 (Tuesday). Shortlisted candidates will receive further instructions regarding the next steps in the selection process.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will release the first merit list on April 21, 2027 (tentative).

Ideally, a digital portfolio should be a compilation of the best works showcasing the candidate's skills, passion and interest in a variety of areas and techniques. One must make sure to include the work he/ she is the proudest of. Try to be different and include unique and interesting things. Note that if the admission committee feels that any unfair means was adopted in the making of your portfolio, the candidature of the candidfate may be cancelled.
