The Indian Institute of Public Health- Shillong is not under CUET. Instead IIPH uses a merit based admission process that includes an essay writing and GDPI Round .

The admission process for the Master of public health programme at the public health foundation of India in Shillong, India is merit based and involves a application form, essay and interview.

The Indian institute public health shillong was established by the public health foundation of India in collaboration with the government of Meghalaya . The institute aims to redress the limited institutional and system capacity in public health in the Northeast region of India.

After completing Masters degree in public health from IIPH Shillong, students can work in Government Agencies, Non-profit organizations, Community practice and Administration.

Some job opportunities are like, Public health officer, Health economist, health policy analyst, Research scientist, etc.

The Indian Institute of Public Health in Shillong provides support to students in their placements through its placement cell.

 The placement cell offers information on available opportunities, conducts workshops, and helps students prepare for interviews. But,  at some cost there is no any guarantee that students would surely gets placed but eventually 80% does gets placed . 

According to course wise usually all the courses would get equal opportunity and rest is left to students.

The admission fee for the Masters of Public Health programme at IIPH- Shillong is INR 10,000 and the examination fee is INR 10,000. Usually, it would be included in the total fees (exam fees) .

For the 2024-26 academic year, the tuition fee is INR 2,40,000 per year for Indian and South Asian nationals including exam and admission fees.

Admission to IIPH-Shillong needs some documents which must be properly verified and original:

Students need to submit the application form along with these documents and get verified by University. Once done they can appear for the entrance exam and if they clear the entrance exam they can attend the interview and get admitted.

No student based on other ranking are getting admitted other than their university admission formalities. The last date to apply for admission to the Public Health Foundation of India in 2025 is February 1, 2025.

The batch will start on February 3, 2025.

Master of Hospital Administration (MHA)

M.Sc in Public Health Nutrition (PHN)

M.Sc in Health Economics & Technology Assessment (HETA)

Msc in biostatistics and epidemiology.

It is a highly reputed university with placement cell which helps students to build career easily.  

The average salary for Masters of Public Health at IIPH- Shillong depends on the students capabilities but on whole :

Entry-level: INR 2.5 LPA - INR 5 LPA

Mid-level: INR 5 LPA - 10 LPA

Senior-level: INR 10 LPA - INR 20 LPA

And in some cases the salary ranges differs usually based on the employee himself and the organisation they prefer.
