I would say Spanish as its spoken in 22 countries all over the world from two different continents -Europe and South America. Hispanophones are estimated at between 500 and 550 million globally, making Spanish the second most spoken language in terms of native speakers. Around 360 million live in Hispanic America and 46 million in Spain. Whereas German Hispanophones are estimated at between 500 and 550 million globally, making Spanish the second most spoken language in terms of native speakers. Whereas Germany has only 90 million, French has 274 million, Japanese has 125 million native speakers and Chinese (Mandarin) has 1.2 billion speakers. That makes it the most spoken language of the world. But along with being the most spoken language, it is also quite tough as compared to Spanish.
