To be eligible for taking admission to two-year LLM courses at SRM School of Law, candidates must pass Class 12 and graduate in Law from a recognised board/ university. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate in their final qualifying exam of undergraduate.

To apply for SRM School of Law, candidates must pass Class 12 from a recognised board for all UG, PG and integrated courses. The detailed eligibility criteria for all courses at SRM School of Law are as follows:

| BA LLB (Hons) | Pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate |
| BCom LL.B | Pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate |
| BBA LLB | Pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate |
| LLB* | Any degree with minimum 60% aggregate |
| LLM | Passed any law degree with minimum 50% aggregate |
*Candidates with a gap of two or more years from passing the last qualifying exam will not be considered eligible.
