St. Joseph’s University is renowned for its placements. The university has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to get good jobs with decent salary packages. The top recruiters who visited the campus are Deloitte, EY, NatWest, Ather, AXA, Aditya Birla Group, Axis Bank, Google, Cognizant and others.

St. Joseph’s University application fee for the UG programme is INR 800 and for the PG programme it is INR 1,000. The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

St Joseph's University was previously St. Joseph’s College. On July 2, 2022, the government of Karnataka issued a notification conferring the status of a University on the college under the RUSA 2.0 Scheme of the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) by the St Joseph’s University Act, 2021. It officially upgraded from St. Joseph’s College to St. Joseph’s University on September 27, 2022.

SJC Bangalore - St. Joseph's College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

M.Sc.Candidate with PG Diploma/ Certificate course in Computer Science can also apply.
M.ComCandidate must have B.Com/B.B.M or equivalent with mentioned marks in the aggregate in commerce subjects from any recognised university.
MSWAny graduate from recognised Universities with a minimum mentioned marks in the aggregate of all subjects. 45% for Category I candidates.
M.A.Candidate must have passed with mentioned marks in the cognate subject/ public administration at the Bachelors dgree level and 40% marks in the aggregate in all subjects. Candidate with political Science as a subject/ B.A.LL.B are also eligible.
BBACandidates who have completed two-year of Pre-University Course in Karnataka state or its equivalent are eligible for admission into this programme.
B.ComCandidates who have completed two-yearof Pre-University Course in Karnataka state or its equivalent are eligible for admission into this programme.
BCAOr Candidates completed Three years Diploma in Engineering of the Government of Karnataka or any other examination considered equivalent.
BSWCandidate must have passed two-year PreUniversity Examination conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered equivalent by Bangalore University.
B.VocCandidates must have passed the two-year PreUniversity Examination conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent by Bangalore University.
B.A.Candidates who have completed two-yearof Pre-University Course in Karnataka state or its equivalent are eligible for admission into this programme.
B.Sc.A candidate who has passed the two-year PreUniversity Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka or any other examination considered equivalent by Bangalore City University shall be eligible to apply. Also, a candidate opting for a subject should have studied that subject in the qualifying examination.
