SIMS Pune is a private college, affiliated with Symbiosis International Deemed University. The institute successfully concluded 2023 placements with 100% of the batch placed. More than 60 companies participated in SIMS Pune placements 2023, including over 25 first-time recruiters. The institute concluded its MBA/PGDM placements for the Class of 2023 with 100% placement rate. As per the latest report, the the highest package offered at SIMS Pune during the 2023 placement drive stood at INR 21.5 LPA. Further, the SIMS Pune average package offered to the top 50 students stood at INR 15 LPA. The participating recruiters offered 60 PPOs to the MBA/PGDM batch 2023.  The top recruiters of SIMS Pune in 2023 included Accenture, Dell, Cognizant, Amazon, Dell, HCL, ICICI Bank, Infosys,  etc.

Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies offers a part-time MBA (Executive) programme designed specifically for Working Executives/ Professionals. The duration of the programme is two years and six months (30 months divided into five semesters) that involves 24 months of classroom learning followed by project work. Lectures are offered in both offline (physical) and online modes in two separate weekday and weekend batches as per the convenience of students. The institute offers MBA (Executive) in five specialisations of Management out of which the students have to select any one specialisation in the fourth semester. 

The institute accepts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) for MBA admissions. The institute accepts admission 2024 is open for MBS Executive programme. MBA admission is about to conclude. SIMS Pune admission to all the courses is subject to a valid score in the national/state-level entrance exam along with the fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria set by the college. Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies offers two postgraduate courses in different specialisations of Management. The selection of candidates for an MBA is based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam, whereas MBA (Executive) admission is based on personal interaction.

Step 1: SNAP Test

Candidates must apply for the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, which is a common written test for admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes. Candidates must visit the official website of SNAP http://www.snaptest.org and register. Simultaneously, register online to SIMS Pune by paying an additional INR 1000.

Step 2: SIMS Selection Process

SIMS will shortlist the candidates based on their SNAP score. The results are announced via a web-link on SIBM Pune's website as per the scheduled dates. Shortlisted candidates must fill out the online SIMS application form and participate in the SIMS selection process, which includes Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE-PI). The SIMS selection process selection process will be held online.

Step 3: Merit List

The institution will finally release a merit list with names of candidates who have qualified for the selection process of SIMS Pune. Final Merit List (category-wise) is based on marks obtained out of 100 (SNAP - 50 marks, GE-PI - 50 marks).

Step 4: Seat Finalisation

Call letters for provisional admissions are sent as per the merit list and the remaining candidates are given a waitlist number. Candidates will receive an offer letter from the Institution, They must pay the tuition fee and confirm their seats in the institution.
