This year, Tamil Nadu government has announced that admissions to engineering colleges will be based on marks obtained in class 12th.

The University of Madras invites students to the various PG courses provided by the University and admission to these campuses is based on the rank and marks obtained by the student in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test TANCET 2017. The TANCET exam is conducted annually by Anna University, Chennai. The application forms can be obtained from any of the campuses, or online from the University's website. Regards.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham does not accept TANCET score. Selection is based on mentioned eligibility and performance in the AEEE -2018.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A pass in 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects. ( or ) A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
Candidate born on or after 1st July 1997.

TANCET score card is valid only for 1-year.

For Thiagarajar School of Management there is both direct and TANCET counselling quota. Direct admissions through TANCET required your score to be above 65.

PSGIM provides 2 courses MBA and PGDM. TANCET is applicable only to MBA and not PGDM. The entrance tests applicable for PGDM are CAT, MAT and ATMA. The fees structure for PGDM is exactly Rs 670000 excluding hostel fees. If you opt to do MBA through TANCET it is Rs 4 lakhs excluding hostel fees.
