IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam include 100 MCQs of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in two hours. Candidates will get +1 for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for an incorrect or a question left unanswered in the exam.

The candidates from general category need a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation. If they have an engineering background, the minimum is 55%.

Students with a state rank up to 10,000 have a good chance of getting a government college via UP BEd JEE, although this depends on the category, availability of seats, and college choices during counseling. SC/ST students may have a chance even with ranks up to 25,000, provided they have good marks (approximately 235-245+).
