CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA whose score card/ rank helps in taking admission in all major UG courses besides BTech. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech must take the JEE-Main exam, which is also a national-level entrance exam but mainly for admission to BE/ BTech in various government and private universities and colleges.
Also, Tezpur University accepts admission in its BTech course based on the scorecard/ rank of JEE-Main. For lateral entry to BTech, the candidate needs to take Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE), which is TU's own entrance exam.

Tezpur University BTech admission is based on the candidate's performance in JEE-Main. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at Tezpur University should have passed class 12 or SSC with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
Eligible candidates must take the JEE-Main examination and secure a good rank because only those applicants whose JEE-Main rank will be above the closing rank as specified in the merit list released by Tezpur University can proceed further with counselling process.
Candidates with a valid scorecard/ rank must register for counselling, followed by document verification and fee payment.

Yes, other than CUET, Tezpur University conducts its entrance exam, which is known as Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE) for admission to most of its UG and PG courses. Apart from TUEE, the university also intakes students through the valid scorecards of JEE-Main CAT, GATE, etc. Before registering for TUEE, applicants should check the eligibility criteria for the university's various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Tezpur University will release two merit lists on 3rd July 2023. The induction of candidates at Tezpur University is purely entrance based. Candidates interested in taking admission at Tezpur University score cards/ ranks must be within the range specified in the merit list. Furthermore, students will have to report to the admission cell of the university to complete the process of securing their seat by having the document verification and fees payment done.
