Rajiv Gandhi Medical College in Kalwa is the only government MBBS college in the city, with admission based on NEET UG scores. Most other medical institutes in Thane offer paramedical or physiotherapy courses instead of MBBS. Students looking for more MBBS seats often apply to colleges in nearby Mumbai and Navi Mumbai as well.
