The City College of New York Eligibility

A few standard prerequisites for CCNY scholarships include the following:

Academic Merit: The main criteria used to award scholarships is academic excellence.

Financial Need: In some cases, financial need could be added as a criterion for scholarship evaluation.

GPA Cutoff: Students must keep their GPA at 3.0 or above in order to be eligible for general scholarships.

Scholarships frequently consider a student's commitment to community and school service as a factor in their evaluation of applications.

Admissions Application: Prior to being considered for a scholarship, all potential candidates—including incoming students—must have successfully submitted a CCNY admissions application.

Submission of the FAFSA: International students who are looking for need-based scholarships and financial aid must usually submit the FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
