The NorthCap University

The institute gained the status of a State private university, and called the ITM University, Gurgaon, in the Academic Year 2009-10 under Act No. 25/2009 by an Act of Legislature of government. Of Haryana and accorded UGC approval under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. ITM University, now The NorthCap University, thus became an unaided, self-financed private University in 2010 duly recognised by UGC under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act of 1956, and the Bar Council of India and has the right to confer degrees under Section 22 (1) of the UGC Act, 1956.
The university has been included by UGC and BCI in their select list of approved Universities. Computer Science is an area that is evolving each day with new innovations that have been changing the globe over the last 50 years. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the core departments of The NorthCap University. The Department is striving towards its goal of providing innovative and quality education with high standards to achieve academic excellence. Keeping in view the dynamic nature of growth in industry and the increasing demand for the latest technologies, the department is starting five new specializations in B.Tech CSE namely.

Eligibility at NCU for CSE;
10+2 (English Medium) examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized board in Science stream with an overall aggregate of minimum 60% . Must appear in JEE 2019.
In case adequate students are not available in a discipline(s) a higher number can be filled in the discipline(s) which have a greater demand subject to the number of students not exceeding the total intake of all disciplines.
15% intake will be allocated for Children/Wards of NRI / International students. Unfilled seats in this category will be transferred to the resident Indian category and shall be filled on merit.
Should seats still remain vacant, in any course, if at all, after exhausting the merit list of applicants of the National Test(s), seats may be filled on the basis of results in the qualifying examination subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria specified.
