Such candidates will be eligible for application in either of the programmes via TMISAT, if you are less than 21 years as on date of commencement of the course of the year of admission and you have secured at least 60% marks in PCM group in 10+2 exam.

To be declared fit for selection via TMISAT, a candidate must be in good mental and physical health and free from any deficiency likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. These medical requirements are laid down by DG Shipping and are subject to change. The criteria for fitness include:

- Ear, Nose, Throat
- Speech

- Cardiovascular System
- Respiratory System

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicants must not be more than 21 years of age, as on September 1, 2017. Female applicants must be 22 years as on September 1, 2017.
The minimum age limit is 17 years.
2. Qualifying Exam & Pass Percentage:
Applicants must have passed 10+2 securing minimum aggregate marks of 60%.
Applicants who have appeared in 10+2 in the year 2017 will be considered eligible to take TMISAT 2017.
3. Subjects to study in qualifying exam:
They need to score the qualifying marks taking Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together in 10+2.
4. Other Boards:
Candidates who have appeared in International Board need to submit an Equivalence Certificate
