TMISAT Eligibility

TMISAT (Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Tolani Maritime Institute for admission to its B.Tech. Marine Engineering and B.Tech. Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering programs. The eligibility criteria for TMISAT for the B.Tech. Course are as follows:
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum Marks: The candidate should have secured at least 60% marks (for General category candidates) or 55% marks (for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Age Limit: The candidate should be less than 21 years of age as on the 1st of September of the year in which they are seeking admission. Physical Fitness: The candidate should meet the medical and physical fitness standards set by the Institute. Entrance Exam: The candidate should appear for the TMISAT entrance exam and secure a minimum of 60% marks. It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria is only the first step towards admission to TMISAT. The admission process also includes a Personal Interview and medical examination. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the TMISAT entrance exam, Personal Interview and medical examination. 1. Age Limit:
Applicants must not be more than 21 years of age, as on September 1, 2017. Female applicants must be 22 years as on September 1, 2017.
The minimum age limit is 17 years.
2. Qualifying Exam & Pass Percentage:
Applicants must have passed 10+2 securing minimum aggregate marks of 60%.
Applicants who have appeared in 10+2 in the year 2017 will be considered eligible to take TMISAT 2017.
3. Subjects to study in qualifying exam:
They need to score the qualifying marks taking Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together in 10+2.
4. Other Boards:
Candidates who have appeared in International Board need to submit an Equivalence Certificate from Association of Indian University along with relevant documents as mentioned below, while submitting the filled-in application form.
5. Entrance Exam:
All applicants must have appeared and qualified in IMUCET for the year 2017.
6. Medical Fitness.
