The TNPSC Group 4 cutoff is released with the result. The cutoff is decided after the examination. The candidates are arranged in a category-wise merit list based on their marks secured in the written exams. The number of candidates that needs to be selected from each category is known and this number is marked in each list. The marks secured by the last candidates become the cutoff marks for that category.

According to a government order in Tamil Nadu, state services and PSUs will now require a Tamil language paper at the 10th grade level. For example, Tamil language questions make up the majority of the TNPSC Group 2 2 2 paper. On the other hand, it is a qualifying exam for the Group I-level exam.
