Travel and tourism is a nice MBA specialization with lesser scope and career opportunities in comparison to specializations such as HR, finance, marketing, IT, etc. If you are planning to pursue MBA, it will better to do general MBA as you can join travel and tourism industry even with generic MBA.
Also, generic MBA will you wider choices in campus placement. However, if you are sure that your interest is in making career in travel and tourism industry then you may go for MBA in travel and tourism.

Forget the minimum % required. If you passed with general aptitude and have that zeal to go forward, nothing can stop you. please throw out that feeling, that only niche institutions provide niche personalities. It's your career, and it's only you who can shape it
