However, the time for release of the ICET result was not notified. In some of the previous year's, the result declaration time was notified by the conducting body a day or two before the TGICET result date. The time for release of the ICET result may or may not be notified in advance.

TG ICET raw score is calculated based on the number of correct answer and incorrect answers marked by an individual candidate. The raw score is calculated using the marking scheme. Whereas, the normalised score of TS ICET exam is adjusted using a specific formula which considers the shuft wise difficulty and overall performance of all test takers across different shifts. Once the raw score is adjusted, it might increase of decrease the normalised score. TG ICET normalised score is considered while allotting a rank to a candidate who took the exam.

TG ICET normalisation formula has two values, namely SASD and GASD. SASD refers to the sum of the average score and standard deviation of the exam shift in which a particular candidate had appeared. Whereas, GASD refers to the sum of the average score and standard deviation across all exam shifts taken together.

Both SASD and GASD help compare a candidate's performance in one session with the overall performance of all test takers. SASD indicates the difficulty and performance level in one particular session, whereas GASD provides a reference based on all exam shifts.

TG ICET normalisation formula takes into account the average scores and standard deviations of each shift and compares them with the overall values across all sessions. TSICET normalisation formula also considers the average marks of the top 0.1 per cent of candidates from all shifts individually and combined. Using these values, a normalised score is calculated after adjusting the raw marks of each candidate.

TS ICET normalisation process ensures that a candidate who took the exam in a difficult exam shift is not disadvantaged while being evaluated.

The difficulty level of questions may vary across different shifts of TG ICET exam. To eliminate any kind of benefit from an easier shift of any disadvantage from a tougher shift, the normalisation process is used. TS ICET normalisation process adjusts the scores of all candidates.

TG ICET raw score calculated from the answer key gives candidates an estimate of their performance. However, ICET rank is not based on the raw scores alone. Since there are more than one shift in the TG ICET exam, the exam authority uses the normalisation process to neutralise any effects caused due to varying difficulty level. This normalization process ensures fairness among all candidates who took the ICET exam. Therefore, the raw score can help a candidate understand how they performed, but the normalised score is used to decide the TG ICET rank.
