UCEED 2026 question paper will have questions from Numerical Answer Type (NAT) in Section 1. There will be 18 questions of 4 marks each. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Exam was on January 18, 2026.

Part A paper of UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted in a computer based mode. So, candidate must know the basics of computer handling to take the exam. Note that advanced knowledge of software and hardware is not needed to take the paper. Note that in the scenario, there is a technical issue during the exam, the candidate may approach the invigilator for assistance. The invigilator will then take remedial steps to fix the problem. If the problem persists, the candidate will be assigned a different computer terminal.

Process to fill UCEED application form is given below.

  1. Go to UCEED 2026 admission portal
  2. Click on application tab. A registration form will open.
  3. Fill in your name, email id, and mobile number to get registered
  4. After this, a candidate account is created, log in to fill the rest of the application form
  5. Enter academic, personal and contact details
  6. Upload all documents
  7. Pay UCEED application fee
  8. Download UCEED online form.

The application form for UCEED 2026 were available online at UCEED.iitb.ac.in. The application form was open from October 01, 2025 to October 31, 2025. You could apply with regular and late fees.

To fill out the UCEED application form, the candidate will have to go to the portal and click on the registration button. IIT Bombay will also release the admission notification and launch the admission portal for the exam.

The UCEED 2026 application form is for admission to the B. Des program offered by participating colleges.

There is no option to edit UCEED application form once it is submitted. IIT Bombay has released application schedule for UCEED 2026 exam, and there is no application edit window. So, candidates must be very careful while filling the application form.

The UCEED 2026 application form is to be filled by candidates seeking admission to the B. Des programme. Also, UCEED 2026 scores is not considered for admission to the M.Des programme. So, the candidates must instead fill out the application form for CEED 2026. Note that both the CEED and UCEED exams are conducted by IIT Bombay.

The application form for UCEED 2026 was open from October 1-31, 2025 (regular fees). Note that the CEED 2026 application form was also open and had the same schedule.

No, candidates will not be given a refund for UCEED 2026 application fee under any circumstance. UCEED application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. So, before paying the application fee, the candidate needs to make up their minds whether they want to appear in the UCEED exam or not. The UCEED 2026 application fee is INR 4000 for open, and INR 2000 for female and reserved category candidates.

Candidates can report any issue faced while filling UCEED 2026 application form by clicking Report Problem tab that is present on the right side of UCEED application window. 

On clicking tab, candidates will have to explain problem that they are facing. They are also required to mention their registration number. It is advised that candidate not wait until the last minute to fill the form.

The application form for UCEED 2026 is open till October 31, 2025.

Here we provide the category-wise UCEED application fee.

  • Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay INR 2,000.
  • All other candidates need to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.

Mode of fee payment

The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. Note that the UCEED application fee is no-refundable. This means, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded whether you appear in the UCEED 2026 exam or not.

Eligibility criteria for UCEED 2026 are given below.

  • Age limit - Candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

  • Number of attempts - Candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

  • Academic requirements - Candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2025 or 2026. Those who appeared for first time in their qualifying examination in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible.
