For people who are very good with drawing and would love to draw and draw, NID would be much more engaging. For those who would not let go their maths for they see maths in everything like John Nash or Stephen Hawkings, NID would be a bore, since UCEED caters to those people.

Hello Shashi,
Both UCEED and NID exams are of equal importance. NID is the institute of design where you get to learn more of designing or management as per your course. UCEED helps to get in any of the IIT. Where you have the opportunity to study not only design, but related technology as well. The courses at IIT are not all which you can find at NIFT or NID. Like, animation and film design, automobile and vehicle design, Visual communication etc. Are the limited course at IIT.

3- Environmental & social awareness: general awareness of environmental factors such as cli

Hi Chaitanya, Yes, you actually have to give the exam before your boards only. The score is purely based on your aptitude and so is your admission.

Sure, you can. After entering an IIT, you can take up any courses that you're interested in, there are tons of them. You can do minor engineering and minor projects on the same. Just find your interest and go for it.
