To seek admission in the University at Albany, you must have completed a degree curriculum that is comparable to a US bachelor's degree before applying to a graduate programme at the University at Albany, SUNY. Also, below are the things to note -

The applicant must submit an application asking to study in a certain field and provide the necessary supporting credentials -

1) Certified copies of all past college coursework

SAT or ACT scores are optional, although you may choose to submit them to enhance your chances of getting in.

The University of Albany does not have a strict SAT requirement, but they definitely like to see a score of at least 1100 to be considered. You are not needed to submit English proficiency test results, if you attended or are currently attending high school in the United States or if English is your first language, but you may do so if you want to boost your application.

Suny Albany tuition fees for international students is slightly higher than the average national cost for international students. As per the University's official website, below are the tuition fees for the Fall 2023 Semester-

1) Undergraduate degrees- $12,830

2) MBA - $12,440

3) All other Masters and Ph.D. - $11,780

The above figures only include the tuition. Including fees, the total amount comes out to be $14K-$15K/semester. As per sources, The total cost including the cost of living, books & supplies, and personal expenses the expenditure is around $45,973 for out-of-state students.

International students can apply for admission to the university at Albany-SUNY using either the State University of New York (SUNY) Application or the Common Application. University at Albany-SUNY accept students from all across the world so there is no need to worry about to get a admission. But the eligibility criteria for getting admission is that, you need to earn B+ letter grades and regularly score around 87-89 percent on tests and assignments in high school. Apart from that you will also need the following:

  • Proof of completion of your previous degree.
  • English Proficiency Test scores.
  • F1 student visa.
  • financial affidavit of financial soundness.

By the completion of the first semester of the programme, you must obtain certified documentation of your previous degree.
