University of Georgia Eligibility

The University of Georgia expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 on the 4-point scale for graduate admission. As per the official source, over 14,000 students who enrolled in UG programs for the class of 2028, scored 4 or higher. Students must try to aim for an equal or better score to improve their selection probability. In addition, for undergraduate admission, students must aim to score between 29 and 34 on the ACT and 1270 and 1470 on the SAT.

The University of Georgia expects a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 from undergraduate and graduate aspirants. The IELTS's single band must not be lower than 6. Students coming from diverse countries must fulfill the English language requirements and submit the IELTS and TOEFL scores to prove their English proficiency. The minimum TOEFL requirement for international students is 80. Students must score 213 in Computer-based 550 in paper-based, and at least 20 in speaking and writing. 

To apply to the UGA, the admission requirements that the applicants have to meet are:

• Standardized test scores, including GRE
• 3 Letters of recommendation
• A sample of scholarly writing in English
• A completed application for Graduate Assistantship (if interested in receiving funding)
• A Statement of Purpose
• A CV
• English language proficiency
