Applicants must submit proof of English language proficiency to get admission Greenwich. The university also accepts TOEFL or PTE Academic scores or high-school-level qualifications that students may have taken in their country. Therefore, it is not possible to apply to Greenwich University without IELTS.

International applicants can apply through an authorized in-country representative or directly to the university via the online application form. Also, the applicants can apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) for undergraduate admission. The University of Greenwich will examine your suitability for the course if you submit:
- A completed application form
- All academic transcripts
- English language qualifications
- References
- Any other additional documents required as per your course

The Guardian has kept the University of Greenwich in top 100 for Economics continuously since the past few years. This means that Greenwich has continuously maintained its performance in Economics. As for 2023, the University was ranked at 98th positon on the Guardian rankings. When we consider the Complete University Guide rankings, the University of Greenwich has been ranked at 110th position in 2024, a sharp drop of 27 positions from last year.
