As per an official media release, posted by the institute on its official website, the University of Greenwich was subjected to a penalty worth GBP 120 K (INR 1.36 Cr.) by the Information Commissioner's (IOC) Office, as a result of their findings in a case that found the institute was subject to a data breach in 2016, that led to the loss of some important data from the official university webiste.

The University of Greenwich students live as part of the state-of-the-art residential facilities made available by the university in the form of residence halls.

The halls are located at a walking distance from the campus, & accommodation is also available as part of the Student Village at Avery Hill, a short ride away via the free University of Greenwich shuttle service.

The institute takes care of all the living facilities a student needs, such as beds, desks, drawers, food, 24x7 security, free campus wide wi-fi & more.

The University of Greenwich acceptance rate stands at 65-70%, while that of University of Manchester stands at around 40-50%. Both institutions are almost similar at granting admissions. However, the University of Greenwich accepts 6.5 to 7 applications out of every 10 it recieves, while the University of Manchester only accepts 4-5 applications. Thus it can be inferred that the University of Greenwich is slightly easier to secure admissions to than UOM.

Despite that, the UOM graduates are known to earn the higher median salary (INR 1.52 Cr) while also ranking above University of Greenwich as part of the latest Shiksha Popularity

Both institutions are considered part of the best universities in the UK. Despite that both have a contrasting nature of granting admissions to students. The University of Greenwich acceptance rate stands at around 65-70%, while that of University of Birmingham stands at 13%. It can be inferred that while both are selective at granting admissions, UOB is nearly 6 times harder to secure admission to as compared to the University of Greenwich.

Prospective candidates must perform exceedingly well in past academics as well as entrance examinations to have a chance of securing a seat at the University of Birmingham.
