The University of Greenwich offers a placement rate of 95% where the graduates of the university secure placement within three months of graduation. To further increase the chances of securing a placement in top companies, the University of Greenwich offers a wide range of courses to enhance the work experience of the students at the university alongside their graduation courses. The university offers placement or internship opportunities that significantly contribute towards helping students gain hands-on experience and skills, discover hidden talents, build a strong CV, connect with people from various industries, and secure a job offer in the future. The University of Greenwich offers three types of placements and internships to the students enrolled at the university. The types are listed below:

• Sandwich year placement: This placement opportunity is a full-time work experience for students in their second and final year of study conducted for 9-12 months. Under this placement, students are still considered as students but also gain sandwich recognition with their degree after completing their work experience.
• Module-based placements: The Module-based placements are comparatively for a shorter duration than the Sandwich-year placement and are offered under only selective programs offered by the University of Greenwich. The Module-based placements are often part-time placements.
• Internships: Internships take place for 5 working days to 6 months and can be either full-time or part-time where the students also continue to study alongside. The University offers two internship schemes, where one is open to Science students under the Faculty of Engineering and Science and the other one is open to all first and second-year students at the university.
