UoH - University of Hyderabad

University of Hyderabad (commonly known as Hyderabad University) is a Central University which is recognised by the UGC. UOH is accredited by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). In addition to this, University of Hyderabad is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

University of Hyderabad has been ranked 26th by the NIRF 2025 Ranking under the Overall category. Looking at the rankings, and the accreditations, one can say that it is a good university.  

University of Hyderabad offers postgraduate, PhD, integrated, and other programmes to students. At the postgraduate level, the university offers MTech,  MBA, and other programmes to students. The university also provides PhD programmes to various course students. Admission to most of the programmes is based on the entrance examination conducted by UoH. In addition to this, it also accepts several national-level entrance exams for admission to MBA, MCA,  MTech,  and PhD programmes. 

The infrastructure of the University of Hyderabad is good. The are a total of 21 hostels. Out of these, 13 are for boys and 8 are for girls. The campus also has 7 canteens to facilitate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apart from this, the university has different libraries for different departments. Along with this, the university has also built 4 auditoriums with a capacity of 700.

The University of Hyderabad popular programmes are MSc, MBA, and MTech. Central University Hyderabad places special emphasis on critical and analytical thinking, knowledge creation, and discovery. There are focused research programmes conducted in the various fields of modern Biology, which makes the department a hub of basic fundamental research. MBA students are taught presentation and technical skills. The University of Hyd M.Tech students are placed in top companies such as GE Digital, One Convergence, Marvell, TechSophy,  and others.
