The UPESMET exam is an entrance exam conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). This exam is conducted at university level for admission to MBA courses at UPES School of Business.

  1. The UPESMET is a computer-based test of two hours' duration with 140 questions. The UPESMET exam is conducted multiple times in a year.
  2. The syllabus of the UPESMET is similar to most management entrance test syllabuses, which include topics such as verbal ability, reading comprehension, quantitative ability, data adequacy, and data interpretation.

No, you do not need to apply separately for the UPESMET exam if you have already scored well in the CAT or any other national level MBA entrance exam. As per the latest guidelines of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Business School, which conducts the UPESMET you are eligible for admission into UPES Business School with other management test scores apart from the UPESMET. The following exam scores are accepted for admission to the MBA courses:
  1. CAT
  2. GMAT
  3. SNAP
  4. MAT
  5. NMAT
  6. XAT
You can take admission to the MBA programme offered by UPES Business  School with any of the above test scores.

No, it is not compulsory for candidates to complete UPESMET application form in one go. Candidates can complete UPESMET 2025 online form in multiple sittings. However, candidates must make sure to save details everytime before closing tab so that they can resume from where they left. Applicants must complete the UPESMET 2026 application form before the last date and read the instructions carefully for successful registration.

The candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (Class X and XII The candidate must be a Graduate in any subject with minimum 50% marks from a recognised University.
