For entering the Ph.D. in VNSGU, it undertakes a multi-tier admission process. Candidates are admitted with a Master's degree with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent. All candidates are given a common research methodology and subject specific-content based test followed by a presentation of the proposed area of research to the RAC. The committee decides whom to send to it. Those recommended for selection are required to take registration coursework and clear the prescribed examination.
