For entering the Ph.D. in VNSGU, it undertakes a multi-tier admission process. Candidates are admitted with a Master's degree with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent. All candidates are given a common research methodology and subject specific-content based test followed by a presentation of the proposed area of research to the RAC. The committee decides whom to send to it. Those recommended for selection are required to take registration coursework and clear the prescribed examination. Finally, candidates register upon successful completion of all the requirements put forth by the RAC assessment of their proposals.

VNSGU Veer Narmad South Gujarat University , also known as South Gujarat University, came into existence in 1965. It was established to fulfill the need of having a separate university in South Gujarat. VNGSU is a public-state university. The University has also been re-accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B+’ in 2022 and is a UGC-recognized university. VNSCGU is popularly known for its UG, PG, and Diploma courses. Yes, VNSGU provides placement support to its students. The VNSGU boats a seat intake of 24236 BA seats. These seats are distributed among its 86 affiliated colleges. These colleges include Mrs J.P. Shroff Arts College, Shri Maharaja Rajendrasinhji Arts and Science College, Babubhai B. Avichal Arts and Commerce College, Patel Raman Brothers Arts and Patel Gopalbhai Ranchhodji Commerce College, and more.

BA seats at VNSGU are allocated based on merit. Once the applications are processed, the university holds the counselling process.
