Admission to BSc course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The selected candidates based on the merit are called for counselling and document verification round. Candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The total tuition fee for BSc ranges between INR 21,000 and INR 26.40 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee varies as per the BSc specialisation selected by the candidates. Only after paying the fee, the admission to the university will be confirmed.  BSc is a three-year course divided into six semesters. VISTAS offer BSc course through School of Maritime Studies, School of Life Sciences, School of Computer Sciences, School of Hotel & Catering Management, School of Basic Sciences and Department of Aviation. BSc is available in 19 specialisations, namely Nautical Science, Maritime Operations,  Applied Medical Biotechnology & Clinical Research, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent exam can apply for the BSc specialisation of their choice.

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. The university offers MBA through School of Management & Commerce in four specialisations, namely Business Analytics in association with IBM, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Shipping Management and Finance, HR, Marketing, Systems & Production. Candidates need to pass a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category). The eligibility remains same for all the MBA specialisations. Candidates need to submit the documents verififying their eligibility during the counselling round for final selection in the university.
