If you would have asked this question a few years ago, then I honestly would've said that there is little to no scope when it comes to animation and VFX courses in India. However, in present times, I absolutely must say that this once limited scope has expanded spontaneously. Movies like Baahubali show exactly how big the animation and VFX industry has grown. These are the best institutes to learn VFX in Chennai:
Arena Animation
ICAT Design and Media College
Loyola College
WLC College India
In my view, you should try to get admission in Arena as it is a specialized institute dedicated to animation and VFX.

Hi Arvind,
There are different ways to get into the VFX industry and not all of them require an education. However, one criteria in common with recruiting departments across the board-a set of skills, which includes technical problem solving skills, a good eye for detail, creative bent of mind, basic drawing skills (so a background in fine art would be great, although not necessary), a solid understanding of photography and the interplay of light, color and shadow. These are the best institutes for learning VFX in India:
