Lots of assignments and projects will help you become a good designer. Choose the right institution based on course structure, institute infrastructure, faculty, and affiliations with reputed universities among others. Visit a few animation college websites, download their brochures and talk to their counselors before you make your final decision.

If you have interest in Sketching & are passionate about Animation, then opt for it. Web and Graphic Design could be learnt in one to one & half year. If it includes Web development, then ensure that you possess logical skills along with creative aptitude
Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
Learning Software alone won't help you. First acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium.
Digital Media and Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities.
While choosing any institute ensure that you are taught by Experienced & proficient Mentors. Also ensure adequate infrastructure, industry interface & validate placement track record of alumni's.
