The eligibility criteria and admission process for the BTech course at both institutes—IMU Kolkata and IMU Kochi campus—are almost similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 with an aggregate of 60%. Additionally, for the selection process, the campuses accept relevant IMU CET exam scores. The online admission form for UG courses at City College, Kolkata opens via the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP) from June 18, 2025, and runs until July 1, 2025. Phase 1 merit list was released on July 6, and seat booking continues till July 12. You can take admission through WBCAP.

IIMT Studies Kolkata provides various 10th Diploma, UG Program, and PG Diploma programs to students. The Professional-Graduate Program at IIMT Studies, Kolkata provides students with Engineering training in different specializations. The Professional-Graduate programme at IIMT Studies is accepted as equivalent to the mainstream BTech course. Students must apply on the basis of their HSC/10+2 scoring as well as 2 years' work experience.

These include British Accreditation Council, European Association of Distance Learning, Scottish Qualifications Authority, CII, EduQual, Gujarat University, Kacchh University, among others. Students can choose from the various courses according to their qualification level, ie. 10th certificate, UG, PG Diploma, etc.
