If you score above 97% or 98% percentage marks. Then yes, you are on the safer side. Also, I can't guarantee you at this percentage because the cutoff may depend from year to year based on paper difficulty.

You can prefer the course based on your interest. If you are good at learning scientific names and many key terminology you can get into B.Sc. Zoology and you can succeed in it or if you are interested in learning various life forms in plants and animals you can go with life sciences both are very good courses.

The cut off for B.Sc zoology is 99% for general category and 95% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Also, you need to score at least 95% marks in 10th and 12th standard to get admission to this college.
