If placements are your main concern, Chandigarh University (CU) definitely has an edge. One thing I personally liked about CU is how early they start preparing students for placements. Their Department of Career Planning & Development (DCPD) runs regularly trainin g sessions on aptitude, interviews, and soft skills, starting from the very first year.Big companies like Amazon, Deliotte, Microsoft and IBM do visit the campus, and students from different streams get chances to sit for tip recruiters. What also helps is that CU focuses a lot on real-world exposure—internships, live projects, and skill-based learning. The placement scene is quite active, and a good number of students from my batch got placed in reputed companies. Of course, getting placed depends on your efforts too, but the university provides strong support and good opportunities.

All four universities have their strengths in CSE.· Thapar University is best for top-tier placements and academic excellence.· LPU offers a good balance of practical learning, industry exposure, and affordability, with decent placement support.· Amity has strong infrastructure but is costlier, with mostly service-based placements.· Sharda is improving but still behind in core placements. Conclusion: Choose based on your goals. Thapar for high-end placements, LPU for a well-rounded, value-for-money experience.

Getting admission into ASET – Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology is moderately competitive. Admission is mainly through KEAM, and recent general category closing ranks range from about 30,000 to 52,000 for popular branches like CSE, with the final round going up to around 67,000 for some courses. While it's not extremely hard to get in, you still need a decent KEAM rank, especially for high-demand branches. Applicants with ranks under 50,000 usually have a good chance of securing their preferred course.
