The selection procedure for Kaloji narayana rao University is based on online application.  The applicant must meet with their education qualification.The education qualification are as follows. Candidates seeking admission into B.Sc., (Nursing) 4 YDC Course should have passed 2 years Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with 45% aggregate of marks in Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and English is compulsory subject in 10+2. Or b. Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) from recognised Board under AISSCE / CBSE/ ICSE / SSCE / HSCE / NIOS / TOSS of other equivalent Board with Biology, Physics and Chemistry recognised as equivalent by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana state. Or Intermediate (10+2) Vocational with Bridge course with Biology and Physical Sciences. c. Those who belong to SC/ST and BC categories are eligible with 40% aggregate marks in the Science group subjects (Biology and Physical Sciences). English is compulsory subject as per the norms of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi vide letter No.F.No.1-2/2014-INC and vide circular No.F.No.1-6/2016 –INC Dated:21-09-2016. d. Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board or an institution outside the State should produce a certificate of equivalence from the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana of BPC group.

For the academic year 2023 the cutoffs announced by this university for different categories of students varies from 40 percentile to 50 percentile. 40% was for all reserved categories except for General /EWS-PwD. KNRUHS offers the MBBS programme for 4 years and 6 months along with a year-long internship.
