Direct admission to M.Des Interior Design at MGM College of Fine Art usually isn't like this. Candidates will need to possess either a B.Des degree or an equivalent degree qualifier with a minimum of 50% marks and then undertake an entrance test or portfolio review before being considered for admission. Some private colleges do offer management quotas for direct admissions, but these are not widely publicized and carry almost exorbitant fees. Admission is generally purely on merit or a college-specific test for supposed design aptitude, creativity, etc. Work experience in design would give an additional boost to application, but it is not mandatory.

In the matter of determining which fine art educational institution in Aurangabad is the best, a straight answer cannot be given, for anything that has the 'best' title is very subjective by nature.Nevertheless, it is a school that promotes creative education and trains students in B.Design and M.Des courses while providing strong practical training and imparting expert knowledge through faculty competence. Average placements of the institute are INR 3-5 Lacs per annum are very competitive in this particular region, and it follows a design-centric programme that conforms to local industrial growth. The Government Institute of Fine Arts or even Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University could well be comparable competitors based on greater resource allocation or recognition. While MGM has a modern campus and specialised courses, who is better depends on big variable weights assigned by students as of March 2025.

In the year 2023, the conduct of placement drives at MGM College of Fine Art was mostly attended by any of the common 20-30 companies over several years, as far as regional art institutes go. These are examples of recruitments that will be coming in almost all likelihood: design firms, advertising agencies, and interior decorators such as Livspace, Pepperfry, or some local studio. The numbers, however, are not on public display, but participation in the event will indicate that the college is pretty focused on these creatively inclined fields such as B.Design and M.Des. Most firms offered openings in graphic design, animation, and interiors at average packages of INR 3-4 Lacs per annum. The scale of such a programme seems to be like that of the Aurangabad market showing more emphasis on practical skill than massive corporate hiring, as gleaned in the placement reflection of early 2025.
