Comparing NITTE Institute of Hospitality Services to some of the best hospitality institutions, it is not usually ranked well in either national or international rankings. On the other hand, its specialist programs in hospitality management have earned it recognition in the region. Its strong regional reputation, rather than its national importance, would place it, if one were to rank Indian hospitality colleges, in the lower to mid-tier category.

When compared to other specialist hospitality education colleges, NITTE Institute of Hospitality Services is usually thought to be reasonably priced. Programs such as the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management normally charge an annual price of INR 1,00,000 to INR 1,50,000, which includes the cost of tuition, examinations, and other educational expenses. Considering the costs of some of the best hospitality colleges, even though this would be a large commitment, it is rather affordable. The institute's practical training, industry links, and high calibre of instruction offset the expense. The costs are reasonable given the opportunities and quality of education provided, even though it isn't the most affordable choice.
