The subject requirement varies specialisation-wise for M.Tech programme. SOT PDEU admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. Phase-I of the admission is for GATE qualified candidates. Non-GATE-qualified candidates can participate in Phase-II of the admission. The university prepares a merit list for GATE qualified and non-GATE qualified candidates based on performance in personal interview round and GATE score. Once selected, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The total fee for SOT PDEU M.Tech is INR 3.25 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates need to pay the programme fee after completion of the selection rounds to confirm their seat in the unviersity. The total fee includes a refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000 and a refundable library deposit of INR 3,000. Apart from the programme fee, aspirants also need to pay an application fee in the start. The application fee is INR 700 for each programme.

Candidates are first required to register for the programme of their choice at SOT PDEU. The school shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on entrance exam scores.
