Mukesh Ambani’s Convocation Address at PDEU

January 7, 2026: Dr. Mukesh Ambani gave a motivational speech at Pandit Deendayal Energy University's (PDEU) 13th convocation ceremony that blended introspection, a national vision, and helpful advice for graduating students. In his capacity as PDEU's president, Dr. Ambani highlighted the university's goal of promoting energy, sustainability, and innovation while describing it as a "Temple of Knowledge" with a higher purpose—to serve both Mother India and Mother Earth.
Dr. Ambani started off by thanking the distinguished leaders in attendance and summarizing PDEU's history since its establishment. He took pride in the university's rising stature, pointing to its NIRF 2025 ranking among the Top 50 institutions for innovation, the faculty's international recognition, its substantial research output, and its expanding patent portfolio. Placements: There is 90% placement provided by PDEU. The highest package offered is 42 LPA, average package is 7.5 LPA. I like the enthusiasm of all the faculty members.

Placements: In many cases, true passion for Physics students continues their research as an ongoing process. They pursue a PhD, post-doctoral, etc. Around 70 percent of students get placed, and the rest continue with their research interests. The highest package offered ranges from 12-15 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA, depending on the industry requirements.

It is a good college and has great placements.

Placements: 95% of students get placed in my branch. The highest package is 42 LPA, and the lowest that I know of is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, JP Morgan, Tata, Reliance, and PayPal. All students have to do internships at the end of the 3rd year, so the internship percentage is 100%. Some students get internships at JP Morgan, and most of them work in startups.

SLS, Pandit Deendayal Energy University has 200 seats for the BCom (Hons) course. This seat count can be revised by the university. The seat allotment is done as per selection criteria and seat availability. This seat intake is as per the official website.

SLS, Pandit Deendayal Energy University BA (H) students opting for accommodation facility need to pay hostel charges. The hostel fee is INR 5.29 lakh. This fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.
