Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU, formerly known as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University) offers a vast range of merit, need-based and sports scholarships to its UG, PG and diploma course students. Offered in the form of full and half tuition fee waivers, PDEU scholarships are awarded with effect from the first year. However, to become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in the later years, the students are required to have a minimum SPI (which differs with each course) in the first semester and in every subsequent semester.
Types of Scholarships Offered by PDEU
PDEU provides merit-based scholarships for all eligible students. Students can avail a full tuition fee waiver or partial tuition fee waiver based on their performance in the qualifying exam. The scholarships are offered for all UG and PG courses offered by PDEU. Students need to fulfil certain criteria to apply for the scholarships. The scholarship rules change from the second year onwards. The details of PDEU scholarships are mentioned below:
BTech Merit Scholarship
All the students who want to take admission in a given band of JEE and ACPC rank for BTech programme will get a full tuition fee waiver. The details are as follows:

MBA Merit-cum-Means Scholarships
PDEU Merit-cum-means scholarship is available as per the university scholarship policy for MBA students. The university offers a maximum of 50% tuition fee waiver. The details are mentioned below:
- A maximum of 10 merit-cum-means scholarships (50% tuition fee waiver) are available as per the university scholarship policy for the School of Management.
- To avail the scholarship, the family income (from all sources) of the student in the previous financial year should not exceed INR 10 lakh.
- A minimum of 85 percentile in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ GMAT is required for admission to the MBA for the session 2026-27. To maintain the scholarship in subsequent terms/years, the student must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.2.
- The full scholarship details will be shared with the students during the admission process. The scholarship is available for both years of the MBA course.
MSc (Physics and Chemistry) Financial Assistance
- The university provides a financial assistantship of INR 25,000 per semester against a mandatory research assistantship (up to 8 hours), assigned by the respective
department. For the assistantship, students must fulfil the following criteria:- Students should maintain a CPI of 6.5 or above in each semester without any
backlog. - Attendance criteria set by the university must be met by the student.
- The student should not have been subject to disciplinary action by the university.
- If students fail to fulfil the criteria, their research assistantship will be discontinued.

The total tuition fee for BCom (Hons) is INR 12.4 lakh at PDEU. Aspirants shortlisted for admission need to confirm their seat by paying the course fees.
