A total of six M.Tech courses are offered at SoET, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, i.e., Petroleum, Electrical, Nuclear Science & Technology, Energy Systems, Chemical Engineering and Energy and Environment Management.The admission process is conducted in two phases. Phase one is for candidates having Qualified and valid GATE Score) and Phase two is for GATE / non-GATE candidates.

The admission process for the School of Petroleum Management (SPM) at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) might involve a combination of entrance-based and merit-based criteria. 1. Entrance Exam:Institutes often consider scores from entrance exams such as CAT (Common Admission Test) for MBA programs or other relevant exams for specific courses.2. SOT Pandit Deendayal Energy University offers two-year M.Tech programme divided into four semesters. The school offers M.Tech in various specialisations, such as Environmental, Data Science, Cyber Security, etc. The admission to MTech programme will be based on GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also get admission based on their performance in the personal interview round.

In case the candidate cancels his or her admission, the fee is refunded as per the below policy of SOT PDEU:If a candidate applies for cancellation of his/ her admission through email/ in-person, the feespaid shall be refunded after deduction of INR 1,000 as administrative charges, only if suchvacated seat gets filled up the latest by the start of the semester.Candidates shall be required to submit the original receipt of the fees paid for refund in theprescribed form. 

SoET PDEU admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. Phase-I of the admission is for GATE qualified candidates. Non-GATE-qualified candidates can participate in Phase-II of the admission. The university prepares a merit list for GATE qualified and non-GATE qualified candidates based on performance in personal interview round and GATE score. Once selected, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

No, candidates can take admission in M.Tech programme of SOT PDEU without GATE score also. The university accepts admission for non-GATE qualified candidates in Phase-II. However, the application process is common. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. The merit list for such aspirants are prepared based on PI performance. Candidate who has applied for more than one branch has to appear in personal interview for all the respective branches separately
