Patliputra University BCA is a three-year undergraduate degree course, divided into six semesters and offered full-time. BCA courses at PPU are provided by the university and its affiliated 12 colleges. The minimum eligibility criteria required by the university for admission to BCA courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 with at least an aggregate of 45%. Additionally, students with a Commerce stream are preferable. College infrastructure is good, but the placement rate is low.
Placements: Only 15-20% of students get placed, the placement rate is low. The lowest package is 2 LPA, the average is 4 LPA, and the highest is 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki, and many more. Mostly, students are placed at Infosys, TCS, and Maruti Suzuki. Top roles offered are C+ developer, data analyst, junior developer, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available. They provide Wi-Fi, a computer lab, and smart classrooms. They have only building for conducting classes, there is no campus, and it doesn't have hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
Faculty: In my department, 3-4 faculty members are so good and have great knowledge. The way they teach is also good, and we can easily understand because they always explain the concepts by considering real-life examples. The course curriculum is too good, it doesn't make you completely job-ready, but it helps you get a job. The semester is too good and difficult for those who are not focused. The pass percentage is 40%.

Not so happy with the college education system and its placement rate.
Placements: Currently, I am a 3rd year student. My graduation year is 2026. I have taken admission in the BCA course in 2023. I have taken admission in this college because of its placement rate, but now, in my opinion, the college placement rate is not so high. Its placement range is between 20% to 35% only, and the placement package is also not very high. The highest package is between 6 to 7 LPA, and the average package is 2.3 to 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are HDFC Bank, ICIC Bank, TCS, Infosys, Airtel, etc., but not more.
Infrastructure: The college has a total of five buildings. In three buildings, everything is going well, which means all the buildings are fully AC occupied with fans, but when the electricity goes, then only the fans work. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but it is only for college staff work, not for students. College has a good library, but students are not allowed to sit and read in that library, they can borrow books for free to read at home. College does not provide any hostel, mess, canteen, or medical facilities.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified. Almost all have some industry experience, and they have the knowledge about the current industry demand. Even though the syllabus is too old, they teach the current required skills in a very good manner. Some teachers are not very good at this. The college conducts a total of 4 internal exams, and 1 final exam is conducted by the university. Compared to a university exam, internal exam is tougher. The college conducts parents and teachers meetings once a year. The pass percentage of the college is 95%.
Other: The college is affiliated with PPU University. The BCA syllabus of PPU is too old. College completes the syllabus of the university along with add on courses. The college conducts too many events and fests such as Holi mela, Sarswati Puja, Janmashtami, Shiv Ratri, and also with some celebrities.

It is valuable for money if students are ready to work with teacher.
Placements: 25% students are placed in my course.
Average package is 3 LPA.
TCS and Wipro recruits. Top role is full-stack developer and data scientists. Students who got an internship is above 5% and teachers are helping with internships. 80% students got placed in reputed company like TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: Facility is awesome, Wi-Fi is available 24/7, and library is awesome.
All are above average, and classrooms are also awesome.
Hostel is not available in my college. Campus is not good enough, but average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Course makes students industry-ready. Teachers help us to get the job, provide facilities, and cover the topics that help to get the job, and also prepare for interview. Some faculty are really nice, but some are not good, they are lazy.
Other: I chose this course for a better job. Events are very awesome, and many students participate in these events.

I am very satisfied with CIMAGE College. Everything here is extremely excellent.
Placements: 50% of students got placed in our college. The highest package is 30 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and Infosys are recruiting companies. 100% of students get internships. Role offered is software engineer. I had an incredible experience at CIMAGE College. College offers the perfect balance between academics, personal growth, and real-world exposure.
Infrastructure: The mess food is hygienic and surprisingly good, with a balanced weekly menu and occasional special meals that make you feel at home. Security is taken seriously, with wardens and guards always available. The atmosphere is safe and friendly, especially for freshers. I love the most vibrant hostel life, late-night group studies, weekend cricket matches, and bonding with friends from different courses and cultures.
Faculty: Faculty members at CIMAGE College are one of its biggest strengths. Most professors are not just qualified but also passionate about teaching. They explain complex concepts in a simple way and are always approachable, whether it's for clearing doubts, project guidance, or career advice. Many faculty members use practical examples, real-world case studies, and digital tools to make learning interactive and engaging. The environment encourages curiosity, discussion, and innovation. As for the examination system, it's well-structured and fair. College follows a balanced approach with internal assessment, assignments, and end-semester terms. Faculty members are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely supportive. They go the extra mile to ensure every student succeeds.

Don't keep expectations too high, and also learn other skills; it will help you get a placement.
Placements: The placement percentage is not so good, around 35-45% of students get placed here with a package of 2-3 lacs per annum. The highest package is 10 lacs. The top companies hiring are TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Genpact, etc. Apart from the course, also try to learn other skills; it will help you in getting placed.
Infrastructure: Most of the colleges providing the BCA course do not have such a huge campus with an auditorium, ground, gymnasium, labs, and library, but the AN College has many new buildings being constructed, like the lecture building. The campus is continuously being upgraded; in the upcoming years, it will be one of the top-notch institutions.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are qualified and educated, but that level of teaching is not imparted by them. If you are doing BCA, then to some extent, it prepares you for the issues and problems that come up in the future in this sector. They're not that difficult; if you are well prepared, it will be easier for you.
Other: The college campus is good and continuously being upgraded, but the level of education that you are expecting is not imparted. Events are organized on different occasions, but fests are rare, and there are several instances of female harassment on campus, so if you are female, think twice before joining.

Good learning, decent placements, and lively campus.
Placements: Around 75% of students from our BCA batch got placed. The highest package offered is 7 LPA and the average is around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and a few tech startups. Internships secured by about 60% of students, mostly in development and support roles.
Infrastructure: Our department has access to Wi-Fi-enabled labs, well-equipped computer rooms, smart classrooms, and a decent library with tech-related books. The facilities are maintained regularly and support project work well. Hostel rooms are basic but clean, with good food, medical support, and common areas for sports and recreation.
Faculty: Most of our teachers are helpful, experienced, and have strong subject knowledge. The teaching is clear and practical, often aligned with industry standards. The curriculum covers core topics like programming, app development, and databases, which make us job-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is generally around 85%-90%.
Other: I was part of the BCA batch. I chose this course because I'm passionate about tech and app development. The curriculum gave solid hands-on experience in coding and software basics. The best parts were practical projects, helpful teachers, and industry-relevant topics. I do wish there were more electives in AI and new frameworks. Campus life is lively, with fests, tech events, and active student clubs. The crowd is great, connectivity is smooth, and scholarships are available for many.
