Patna University B.Ed Eligibility & Highlights 2023
Patna University offers a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course of a two-year duration. This course is divided into semester patterns (four semesters). Admission to the full-time course is entrance-based. Aspirants need to appear and secure a valid score in the Bachelor of Education Entrance Test (BEET) conducted by Patna University to take admission. As per the NCTE guidelines, the Department of Education is allowed to take two units of students for a B.Ed course. One unit is equal to 50 students.
Patna University shortlists students based on merit and seat matrix. For reserved category students, the reservation and relaxation are subject to guidelines directed by the State government. The following table carries information on B.Ed courseeligibility and selection criteria:

The Patna University Entrance Exam Cutoff 2025 has been released for all categories under the All India quota. The Univeristy releases the cutoff for admission to various UG programmes, like BA, BA (Hons), etc. The cutoff for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics ranged from 76.6 to 81, according to the last round closing score for the General category candidates under the All India quota. For the OBC AI category, the same course cutoff ranged from 74.6 to 78 score in the last round closing scores 2025.
Patna University cutoff for the various UG courses including BA and BSc through affiliated colleges like Patna College and Bihar National College. Patna University admission to UG courses is based on PUCET UG exam. As per last year's analysis, the university had released merit lists up to Round 2 for various specialisations of UG courses including Chemistry, English, Mathematics and more. No, it is not tough to get into the BSc programme at Patna University, as the admission is through the merit secured in Class 12 exams.
