The institution has 37 constituent colleges offering courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate and research level and also offers distance education courses. Besides, the university organizes symposia, seminars, and workshops. All programs are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and have NAAC Accreditation with a Grade of 'B'. While Patna University is a much older university established in 1917 under British rule in India. It was the first university in Bihar. The university has a total of 10 constituent colleges. Patna University through its 31 departments, constituent colleges, and 4 other institutes offers a three-year BA, BSc, BCom (Hons), LLB, and BBA, and two-year B.Ed, and four-year BFA courses to the students. At the PG level, the university offers two-year MSc, LLM, MA, MCom, MBA, and MCA courses to the students. The university also offers a six-year PhD, one-year PG diploma, certificate, Advanced diploma, and Diploma courses to the students. BA is offered in 18 specializations, BSc in seven specializations, and MA in 24 specializations. Patna University’s campus is spread over 181.58 acres and is also accredited NAAC Grade "B+" by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
