Around 70% of students get placed every year. The salary package offered to BVSc students ranges from INR 2.8 LPA to INR 9.75 LPA. The top recruiting companies include The Indian Veterinary Research Institute, PETA India, Terzetto Pharma Metrics, Amul Dairy, etc. Students gave a four-star rating to SVVU BVSc placements. According to the university's NIRF Report 2024, 65 students (out of 222) were placed at various organisations, with an average package of INR 8.75 LPA. 157 students opted for further education.

The university allocates MVSc seats for various specialisations through ICAR AIEEA, followed by the subsequent counselling process. Further, candidates are required to fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria to secure an MVSc seat. Hence, direct admission may not be possible at SVVU Tirupati for an MVSc.
